If you like the idea of fixing and working on big machinery in the lucrative mining industry, this is an exciting opportunity to gain a trade that will kickstart your career.

As a Blue Tongue employee, we invest in your training and pay you a market wage (not an apprenticeship wage) while you complete your 8 weeks of upfront training in a simulated environment. You’ll learn the necessary skills and knowledge at our trusted RTO partner in mobile plant technology so that you can immediately begin working for one of our partner Clients in the mining industry.

Initially you’ll work as a Service Person for one of our partner Clients onsite on a FIFO roster, before transitioning to Mobile Plant Technician, earning a competitive salary as you complete your Certificate III in Mobile Plant Technology.

No two days will be the same as you apply your diagnostic and analytic skills on breakdowns and repairs, carry out inspections and complete preventative maintenance and servicing on a broad range of heavy mining machinery.
